#it really upsets me when people say they dislike captain america because he’s boring #like maybe he’s not as snarky as tony #or as badass as natasha and clint #sure he’s not as adorable as thor #but captain america is far from boring #he’s such a perfectly devised character it actually causes me pain #because he really is just a kid #just a kid that was forced to become a hero #and he took that role gladly because he wanted so desperately to help people #his weapon of choice is a shield for crying out loud! #he doesn’t want to hurt people #he’s not out for revenge or anything like that #he just wants to protect people #to save them

I’m taking an indefinite leave of absence from Tumblr. I really need to focus on school and my spiritual life without the constant distraction and temptations from Tumblr, so I’m doing what’s best for me personally and stepping away from it. I’m thinking of it sort of as ‘giving it up for Lent,’ even though today marks the end of Lent and my family doesn’t usually observe the rituals of this season.
I don’t know when (or if) I’ll be back, but I will keep my account up and ask box/submit box open so you can always talk to me if you need to. I usually check my email on a fairly regular basis so I’ll be able to see any messages that come in. Helen (flightofdeathfrench) and Rosie (pyromaniacalfish) both have my email address if you would like to get it from them and contact me directly through email.
